Sticklepath to Okehampton

A walk through Dartmoor

A very Autumnal walk in Devon

16/11/2018: 7.5 Miles from Sticklepath to Okehampton

Today we walked 7.5 miles through Dartmoor from Sticklepath to Okehampton.

It felt like a proper English Autumn day, a bit on the chilly side with all the leaves starting to turn. We came across a massive pile of rocks that of course we all had to climb (some of us less willingly than others). The views at the top over Dartmoor were amazing. We could even see the army running drills, with the smoke from the drills drifting across the moor.

We finished the walk in Oakhampton in the early evening. Some people chose to buy fish and chips while we waited, but Louise and I ate our Mr Kipling cakes instead. After waiting for ages for the Grey Hound coach to show up (we all had return tickets on the Grey Hound coach from the morning), we just got on the next bus back to Exeter.
