Summer holiday in the beautiful Coromandel

It's Waitangi Weekend!

This year we are taking an extra couple of days leave and going camping for 5 days out at Hahei Holiday Resort in the Coromandel with some friends.

We spent a perfect long weekend chilling out at the beach, swimming, going for walks, kayaking. We went and checked out the neighbouring beaches of Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach. We caught the ferry to the near by town of Whitianga to replace my air mattress with a hole, and to visit the Lost Spring thermal pools. Unfortunately it rained a bit but given the lack of shade at the campsite and our pasty complections this was probably a good thing.
